Lucid Dreaming continued....
Hello guys,
After a really long time (almost a year, sheesh!), I'm back with another post about lucid dreams. This post mainly focuses on what lucid dreaming is and its functionality, because in the previous post, I talked about how to lucid dream and its advantages and disadvantages. So let's get into it...
First, I'll talk about what a normal dream is to prevent any confusion.
A dream happens when pictures, ideas, and emotions in our heads all come together to make a feeling or a connection with each other while we are asleep. This is just our brain having fun on its own in a certain stage of sleep. There are several stages in our sleep, the fifth stage of which is the 'R stage' or 'REM sleep' (Rapid Eye Movement Sleep). This is the stage where we start dreaming. The amount of proper sleep someone gets during this stage depends on the age of that person.
I have referred to our human brain as a computer in the previous post, too. In this case, our human brain also has RAM (random access memory). All the temporary files of the day are stored in it. So in sleep, our brain uploads these temporary files to the permanent file storage. Scientists say that dreams are a process that happens while those memories are uploading. When talking about dreams, I have to mention the neurologist Sigmund Freud; he is the first person to conduct an analysis of dreams. There are so many things to talk about him, so if you are interested, search for him on Google.
Now let's talk about lucid dreams.
Conscious dreams, or lucid dreams, are a topic discussed in cognitive science. If you are wondering what the heck lucid dreaming is, it's already in the name! Yes, yes, it is that we gain consciousness inside a dream. Simply put, taking control of our dreams. The best thing is we can make it whatever we want. That's the super cool part of this! But beware, our brain doesn't know that we are aware of the fact that we are dreaming. Our brain thinks we are still having fun, the way our brain wants in the dream. So when you take control of the dream and try to move around, the brain goes crazy, and it's trying to figure out what the hell is happening, how is he taking action in my dream? Lol. 😆 So now the brain thinks that we are in the real world; it's time to be active again and start functioning normally inside the dream.
Now we can control or do whatever we want inside the dream,, just like real life, kinda reminds me of the movie 'Matrix'. So now we have successfully tricked our brai,n and all the memories of the dream go into our temporary files and later into the permanent memory. This is why lucid dreaming is so addictive and why people remember all of it later on. The hardest part is to train controlling our minds to control dreams. I have mentioned how to do lucid dreaming in the previous post. Do check it out if you are interested.
So until we meet again with another mind-blowing knowledge session, have a nice day, friends!
Live your life with purpose.

Niceee❤
